I’m starting this blog for a few reasons. Because I love to write.  Because I need a weekly break from my long term writing project (memoir) to connect with readers in the present about something that I am passionate about. I am crazy over simplifying.  Admittedly giddy over clearing out space and mind and all manner of stuff and activity and thought that keeps a life cloudy and mucky and heavy and draining.

Without getting too preachy here, I just need to say that anything that clutters your home or office or mind or heart or  body is blocking your most amazing life. The ways in which we block our own light are endless. I do it too. I’m not writing about an uncluttered life because I have perfected simplifying, but rather because I stumble every day and learn the lessons anew with fresh excitement.  There are so many ways to free up space of all kinds, so I have a lot to say about it.  Or rather, write about it. I invite you to stop by often and share in this journey.

  1. For me, simplifying began with stuff (de-cluttering) but eventually I found myself examining everything else in my life. It’s a mental process as well as a physical one, being more careful about my choices and priorities.

  2. I just read your 26 minute memoir on Theo Nestor’s blog. It was well written and moving. De-cluttering is huge for most of us. Still working at it. I’ll come back and read more. Just wanted you to know.

  3. Hi, I’ve really enjoyed reading your blog so I’ve nominated you for the Liebster Award: howtobemerri.wordpress.com/2015/01/28/the-liebster-award/. Keep up the good work.
